Luke Nicholson: Who is your biggest role model? Why?
Joey Haynos: My dad because he’s worked hard all of his life to provide for us. He’s shown me that hard work pays off.
Luke Nicholson: What is your greatest football moment to date?
Joey Haynos: Either winning my high school championship my senior year or when we had a two-minute drive against Clemson to win the game.
Luke Nicholson: What sports did you participate in during high school and how have they helped you to become a better player on the football field?
Joey Haynos: Football, basketball, and track. Basketball taught me body control and helped me become more athletic and track kept me in shape and made me a better runner.
Luke Nicholson: What influenced you to attend Maryland over other schools?
Joey Haynos: It was close to home and gave me an opportunity to play football in the ACC.
Luke Nicholson: What did you gain from your experience at the Hula Bowl and what did you learn from Jeff Jagodzinski and Ron Zook?
Joey Haynos: I had a good experience and I learned that there are a lot of good players throughout the country and I’ll have to take my work to the next level to be able to play for the NFL. Jagodzinski and Zook taught me that you have to have fun playing football too.
Luke Nicholson: Who is the best player you have faced during your career?
Joey Haynos: Lawrence Timmons, Florida State
Luke Nicholson: What one thing do you have to work on the most to excel at the NFL level?
Joey Haynos: Probably running after I catch the ball.
Luke Nicholson: What current NFL player does your game most resemble?
Joey Haynos: Heath Miller because he’s a good receiving TE and he can block.
Luke Nicholson: If someone decided to make a movie about your life, what actor would play you and what would the movie be titled?
Joey Haynos: I really don’t know.
Luke Nicholson: What are you doing to prepare for the NFL Combine?
Joey Haynos: I worked out with Coach Tom Shaw at Disney’s Wide World of Sports in Orlando.
Luke Nicholson: Are you a cat or a dog? Why?
Joey Haynos: I’m a dog because I consider myself likeable and loyal.
Luke Nicholson: Why should a NFL team select you over other tight ends in this draft?
Joey Haynos: Because I’m a hard worker and if I’m not the best I’ll work to be the best, and I’ll bring a lot to an offense.
Luke Nicholson: What is something unique about you that most people don’t know?
Joey Haynos: I like to read more than what people think I do.
Luke Nicholson: If you could catch a pass from any NFL quarterback, who would you choose? Why?
Joey Haynos: Brett Favre because he’s a legend. I’ve watched him through out his career and I would love to catch a pass from him.
