FFLiveWire Exclusive Interview with Tyler Luellen

Offensive tackle Tyler Luellen took the time to answer some questions with FFLiveWire's Luke Nicholson about his career at Missouri, athletic history, and NFL aspirations.

 

 

Luke Nicholson: Who is your biggest role model? Why?


Tyler Luellen: I would have to say my father after he was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis his life became much harder to do things that some take for granted. He taught me about not giving up and giving everything you have to succeed.

 

Luke Nicholson: What is your greatest football moment to date?

 

Tyler Luellen: It would definitely be beating undefeated KU at Arrowhead Stadium to become the #1 team in the country.

 

Luke Nicholson: Is there a situation in your past where you overcame adversity? How did you do it and how has it made you a better person?

 

Tyler Luellen: I would have to say my whole football career at Missouri I have unlucky in the injury department but my family and friends were there to support me!

 

Luke Nicholson: During your career at Missouri, what did your typical day during football season consist of?

 

Tyler Luellen: Wake up around 8am go the facilities watch film for about an hour then head to class until football practice!

 

Luke Nicholson: What sports did you participate in during high school and how have they helped you to become a better player on the football field?

 

Tyler Luellen: I was a basketball player, and a track and field guy. I believe playing basketball is what helped me with my foot work.

 

Luke Nicholson: Who is the best player you have faced during your career?

 

Tyler Luellen: Demarcus WARE!!!!

 

Luke Nicholson: How has playing with Monte Wyrick helped your development and do you see a future in the NFL for your teammate?

 

Tyler Luellen: Playing with Monte was fun but also special; he and I were very compatible and could communicate very well. I believe if Monte were to peruse a career in football the he would do very well.


Luke Nicholson: If you could have any super power, what would you choose? Why?

 

Tyler Luellen: Probably want to be like Bruce Willis in the movie Unbreakable.

 

Luke Nicholson: What one thing do you have to work on the most to excel at the NFL level?

 

Tyler Luellen: Overall Strength

 

Luke Nicholson: What current NFL player does your game most resemble?

 

Tyler Luellen: I never really thought about it but I would hope Joe Thomas.

 

Luke Nicholson: If someone decided to make a movie about your life, what actor would play you and what would the movie be titled?

 

Tyler Luellen: Vince Vaughn, LUE TV

 

Luke Nicholson: What are you doing to prepare for your Pro Day?

 

Tyler Luellen: Training in Atlanta with Eric Lougas


Luke Nicholson: Which teams have expressed interest in you at this point?

 

Tyler Luellen: Don't really know trying to focus on my Pro day.

 

Luke Nicholson: Is there a specific team you hope to play for?

 

Tyler Luellen: Doesn’t matter to me as long as I get the opportunity to play at the next level.

 

Luke Nicholson: Are you a cat or a dog? Why?

 

Tyler Luellen: Cat, had one growing up.


Luke Nicholson: Outside of football, what are some of your hobbies?

 

Tyler Luellen: Hunting and Playing Xbox.

 

Luke Nicholson: Why should a NFL team select you over other offensive tackles in this draft?

 

Tyler Luellen: Exceptional footwork, great mobility.

 

Luke Nicholson: What are your plans for your career after football?

 

Tyler Luellen: Well I have already received my diploma. Thinking of opening a bar/restaurant.

 

Luke Nicholson: If you block for any NFL quarterback, who would you choose? Why?

 

Tyler Luellen: Tom Brady or Brett Favre, because they are the best at what they do.
