Luke Nicholson: Who is your biggest role model? Why?
Jo-Lonn Dunbar: My mother is my biggest role model because growing up she was a single parent and she taught me how to be a good person and a good man. She also taught me how to be a good competitor because she was a basketball player, and I know that’s where I got that competitive nature.
Luke Nicholson: What is your greatest football moment to date?
Jo-Lonn Dunbar: Just having the opportunity to compete for the ACC Championship. Just to play in that game meant a lot to me.
Luke Nicholson: What sports did you participate in during high school and how have they helped you to become a better player on the football field?
Jo-Lonn Dunbar: Basketball - and I know that helped me in football because being able to communicate with others is a priority.
Luke Nicholson: What did you gain from your experience at the East-West Shrine Game and what did you learn from Dick Vermeil?
Jo-Lonn Dunbar: I learned variations of different plays. It was helpful to run real NFL plays and to learn the terminology. Dick taught me about how to approach the NFL as a business.
Luke Nicholson: What led to the decision to move from running back to linebacker during the 2003 season?
Jo-Lonn Dunbar: There were three running backs including me so there wasn’t much room in that position and the DB and LB Coach thought I could do it so it was kind of an easy decision.
Luke Nicholson: Who is the best player you have faced during your career?
Jo-Lonn Dunbar: I would say Brady Quinn.
Luke Nicholson: What one thing do you have to work on the most to excel at the NFL level?
Jo-Lonn Dunbar: I think I have to learn how to be a professional on-and-off the field -- in practice and in meetings. I want to learn the mannerisms of a professional athlete. Most guys are football players and good at it but now learning how to be a pro.
Luke Nicholson: What current NFL player does your game most resemble?
Jo-Lonn Dunbar: Lofa Tatupu
Luke Nicholson: If someone decided to make a movie about your life, what actor would play you and what would the movie be titled?
Jo-Lonn Dunbar: Morris Chestnut and I have no idea what the title would be.
Luke Nicholson: What are you doing to prepare for the NFL Combine?
Jo-Lonn Dunbar: Training with Coach Tom Shaw at Disney’s Wide World of Sports in Orlando.
Luke Nicholson: Are you a cat or a dog? Why?
Jo-Lonn Dunbar: Dog. I think I work well in packs and I’m fierce and aggressive.
Luke Nicholson: Why should a NFL team select you over other linebackers in this draft?
Jo-Lonn Dunbar: Because of the type of person I am… I’m more than a good football player. I will come to work everyday and put in the time and be one of the best players.
Luke Nicholson: What is something unique about you that most people don’t know?
Jo-Lonn Dunbar: That I love Home & Garden TV, the Animal Channel, and National Geographic.
Luke Nicholson: If you could sack any NFL quarterback, who would you choose? Why?
Jo-Lonn Dunbar: Tom Brady, if you are going to sack a QB why not sack one of the best in the NFL.
