FFLiveWire Exclusive Interview with Miguel Scott

Free safety Miguel Scott took the time to answer some questions with FFLiveWire's Luke Nicholson about his career at North Carolina State, what he brings to the defensive backfield, and his versatility.





Luke Nicholson: Who is your biggest role model? Why?


Miguel Scott: My biggest role model is my mother Patricia Clarke, she raised three kids by herself and we all grew up to be successful.



Luke Nicholson: What is your greatest football moment to date?


Miguel Scott: My greatest football moment to date was my first college interception.



Luke Nicholson: Is there a situation in your past where you overcame adversity? How did you do it and how has it made you a better person?



Miguel Scott: I came into college a semester late because of my SAT sores, so I worked hard studying and passed my test to attend N.C. State January 2004.



Luke Nicholson: During your career at North Carolina State, what did your typical day during football season consist of?



Miguel Scott: A lot of hard practices, but I also had fun times with my coaches and teammates.



Luke Nicholson: What sports did you participate in during high school and how have they helped you to become a better player on the football field?



Miguel Scott: In high school I played basketball and track, basketball helped me with hand and eye coordination, track helped me with speed and flexibility.



Luke Nicholson: Who is the best player you have faced during your career?



Miguel Scott: Calvin Johnson.



Luke Nicholson: If you could have any super power, what would you choose? Why?

Miguel Scott: I would have super speed, because speed kills. lol



Luke Nicholson: What one thing do you have to work on the most to excel at the NFL level?

Miguel Scott: Being a more consistent tackler.



Luke Nicholson: What current NFL player does your game most resemble?

Miguel Scott: I'm more of a corner that plays safety because I have good coverage skills, so I'd say Ed Reed.



Luke Nicholson: If someone decided to make a movie about your life, what actor would play you and what would the movie be titled?

Miguel Scott: Denzel Washington, "Life in the fast lane"



Luke Nicholson: What are you doing to prepare for your Pro Day?

Miguel Scott: I am training at the RDV Sportsplex in Maitland, Florida, where I work on my Pro Day drills.



Luke Nicholson: Which teams have expressed interest in you at this point?


Miguel Scott: I have from a few teams but not to certain to give names.



Luke Nicholson: Is there a specific team you hope to play for?



Miguel Scott: I will play for any team that drafts me.



Luke Nicholson: Are you a cat or a dog? Why?


Miguel Scott: I'm a dog guy, they protect the house.



Luke Nicholson: Outside of football, what are some of your hobbies?

Miguel Scott: I love to listen to all types of music.



Luke Nicholson: Why should a NFL team select you over other safeties in this draft?

Miguel Scott: I should be picked because I bring versatility to the position.



Luke Nicholson: What are your plans for your career after football?

Miguel Scott: I would like to be a personal trainer to help other athletes reach their full potential.



Luke Nicholson: What is something unique about you that most people don't know?

Miguel Scott: I'm a comedian.



Luke Nicholson: If you could intercept any NFL quarterback, who would you choose? Why?


Miguel Scott: Payton Manning, because he's one of the best.



Luke Nicholson: Do you see yourself as a free safety or strong safety in the NFL?


Miguel Scott: I see myself as a free safety to a corner back.
